Short Crust Pastry

This multipurpose Short Crust Pastry recipe fortified with AdVital Powder is energy dense and provides a good source of Vitamin A.
- Prep: 1 hr 5 mins
- Yields: 1 x 25cm pie crust/8 serves
1Whisk AdVital Powder and egg until smooth.
2Place the flour, butter and salt in a food processor and blend until mixture forms crumbs. Add egg mix and pulse a few times to combine.
3Tip mixture into a bowl, lightly mix with fingers to form a smooth but firm pastry. If dry, add a few drops of cold milk. Refrigerate covered for 20 minutes.
4Roll pastry out on a lightly floured surface and line tin. Use excess pastry to mend tears or holes and pat out until smooth. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Hints & Tips
- Add 1 tbsp dried parsley or zest of 1 lemon to mix for a sweet or savoury option.
